Spring Pinball Championship

Spring Pinball Championship it's for us big success. We registered 20 players from Poland. Competitors played on four machines to win The Mayors of Piaseczno Prize - Williams Fire!. Who organized? Janek and Jarosław Nietrzebka (polish representatives at IFPA 5) and Paweł Nowak (owner of a Billart club, where everything took place).

 

Trainings started at 12:00 and continued to 2pm. Everyone played on four machines: Creature from the Black Lagoon, White Water, Road Show and Star Trek: TNG.

 

After practice time 20 competitors were obliged to play on all machines in groups of four. The winner of each match got 7 points, 2nd place - 5, 3rd - 3 and last place 1 point.

In that way after all plays we had 8 players with biggest number of points. They qualified to quarterfinals. We drew lots and participants played in groups of two on each pinball, without changing after every session.

 

After that, four half-finalists emerged. They were: Daniel Nowak and Paweł Nowak, Janek Nietrzebka and Łukasz Warmijak. They also played in pairs, and to the great final moved Daniel and Janek. In first match, Janek defeated Daniel on ST: TNG. Second match won Daniel on Road Show (which was his favourite). The last play on the CftBL was very interesting. The play was exceptional. Daniel as well as Janek made Multiballs and got Jackpots! That was increbidle under huge pressure, but they did it. Unfortunately Janek got smaller Jackpot, which gave him not enough points to defeat Daniel.

 

Daniel Nowak won Spring Pinball Champioship in Piaseczno and got Fire!. The plays ended at 9pm. We're planning to organize second edition of this event.

IFPA 5

World Pinball Championship in Las Vegas - IFPA 5 finished at 30.03.2008. After three days of emotional sessions and many games played, IFPA World Pinball Champion title earned Bowen Kerins! He defeated Neil Shatz along with 62 other finalists.

Pinball Hall of Fame is really great place! Both to organise a Championship and to play in for a couple of hours. Especially in so pleasant atmosphere.

I'd really like to thank you guys for a great Pinball Party! It will stay the most important event of the year 2008. It's the best experience to compete with best pinball players from all over the world and to give so good performance!

Now, after getting back to home from hot Las Vegas, I'm pretty sure that everyone waits for IFPA 6!

 

 

           

           

               

 

VI Polish Pinball Championship in CDQ

       9th December 2007 at CDQ in Warsaw took place VI Polish Pinball Championships. Competitors played on 5 pinballs: Pin*Bot, The Simpsons, World Cup '94, Funhouse and Swords of Fury. The last one was also a prize for 1st place.

Trainings started about 3pm, so before 7pm, 33 players were ready to play. In first round every player played on all five machines. To the second round 20 competitors were promoted. To the third round only 8 people, could be promoted, so every one done one's best. Third round emerged final 4.

To the final, got promoted: Piotr Butkiewicz, Janek Nietrzebka, Jarosław Nietrzebka i Alexander Zurkowski. Final match happened on World Cup '94. After really hard duel Alexander Zurkowski took the lead. 2nd was Piotr Butkiewicz, 3rd the same like last year - Janek Nietrzebka, and 4th Jaroslaw Nietrzebka.

Championships in CDQ are marked by growing level, and higher attendance every year.
